Forest Rooms
Our latest Ash design project designed by Ashley Miles Dennis, is a collection of luxury boutique forest retreats for a woodland in Rutland. The retreats will be 100% off-grid, taking sustainable ECO tourism to the next level.
The retreats look stunning as they are clad in the 'Japanese style' Shou Sugi Ban charred timber. While the steel supports are Corten steel, making sure the whole retreat harmonises with the surounding woodland.
The design is also visually striking as the floorplan is divided up into three 'wings' with each wing cantelevered out on a single steel post.
The interior comprices a central open plan area where the kitchen is situated. From here the North wing houses the bedrooms, shower rooms & toilet aswell stairs to the ground and to the roof terrace. The South East wing houses the living area with large sliding glass doors out to a covered terrace that can be used all year round. The South West wing houses the dining area with large bifold doors that open out onto a large open tarrace.
The piece de resistance is the large roof terrace set amoungst the canopy of the trees. Where better to relax and watch the wildlife go by?
On the ground is a large decking area with a wood-fired hot tub to relax and unwind with a glass of fizz.
The project is curently going through planning but work is hoping to start in 2023
